[Manuscript book containing poetry, letters, and thoughts on how to live a right Shaker life. ca. 1871].

Volume cannot be attributed to any compiler or Shaker community since it is a random collection of miscellaneous writings, mostly poetry, but also some prose pieces. The copyist wrote down the first selection, "The tongue of the whippi whoppi," he said, "more for curiosity than anything else." The name Lottie Morrow is written inside the front cover.
